About E-Dox DT Tablet

E-Dox DT Tablet is a combination medicine used to manage inflammatory bowel diseases such as colitis. It may also be used to treat bacterial infections. Colitis is the inflammation of the mucosal lining of the colon/large intestine, generally caused by infections.

E-Dox DT Tablet contains Doxycycline and Saccharomyces boulardii. Doxycycline inhibits bacterial growth and has anti-inflammatory effects. Saccharomyces boulardii prevents the growth of harmful bacteria in the intestines and stomach.

In some cases, E-Dox DT Tablet may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and headache. Most of these side effects may not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to consult the doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Storage

• Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight.• Keep E-Dox DT Tablet out of reach and sight of children. • Non cold chain - To be stored in cool places at 10ºC to 25ºC or below 30ºC.

Drug Warnings

Do not take E-Dox DT Tablet if you are allergic to any of its components. Inform the doctor if you have liver or kidney disease, asthma, sulfite allergy, seizures, blood clotting problems, or increased pressure in the skull. Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Doxycycline during tooth development (last half of pregnancy, infancy and childhood up to 8 years) may cause permanent discolouration of teeth (yellow, grey, brown). Doxycycline should not be used in these age groups unless other medicines are contraindicated. Let the doctor know if you take other medicines, including supplements or herbal products.
