About Donclav-Stf Tablet

Donclav-Stf Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections in the body that affect the skin, soft tissues, lungs, ears, urinary tract, and nasal sinuses. It should be mentioned that viral infections like the flu and the common cold are not treated by this medication.

Donclav-Stf Tablet consists of Amoxycillin and Clavulanic acid. This medicine works by destroying the outer protein layer, thereby killing the bacteria (bactericidal action). As a result, it helps treat infection and reduce the further spread of infection. Donclav-Stf Tablet does not work against infections caused by viruses, including colds and flu.

Not everyone who is taking Donclav-Stf Tablet will get these side effects. The common side effects of Donclav-Stf Tablet include vomiting, nausea, and diarrhoea. Everyone may not experience the above side effects. In case of any discomfort, speak with a doctor.

You can take Donclav-Stf Tablet with food to avoid any stomach upset. It should be swallowed as a whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, bite, crush, or break it. As a result, the action of Clavulanic acid allows Amoxycillin to work better and kill the bacteria. Donclav-Stf Tablet does not work against infections caused by viruses, including colds and flu.

What if I have taken an overdose of Donclav-Stf Tablet

Take Donclav-Stf Tablet only as prescribed by the physician. Avoid exceeding the recommended dose as it could lead to an overdose. Symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach pain, drowsiness, skin rash, hyperactivity, and decreased urination. If you experience these symptoms or suspect you have taken an overdose, seek immediate medical attention.

  • Do not take Donclav-Stf Tablet if you have an allergy to Donclav-Stf Tablet, penicillin or cephalosporin class of antibiotics. Also, if you experience any allergic symptoms, including rash, swelling of the face/lips/throat, difficulty breathing, or chest tightness after taking $ name, immediately contact your doctor.

Donclav-Stf Tablet contains Amoxycillin and Clavulanic acid. Amoxycillin works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering, which is necessary for the survival of the bacteria. Thus it kills the bacteria. Clavulanic acid works by decreasing bacterial resistance and enhancing the activity of amoxycillin against the bacteria. Together, Donclav-Stf Tablet helps in treating bacterial infections.

Donclav-Stf Tablet is known to cause stomach upset, indigestion, nausea, and diarrhea. To avoid these side effects, please take Donclav-Stf Tablet with a meal. Also, Donclav-Stf Tablet should be taken at evenly spaced intervals to avoid any unpleasant side effects and for best results.

Generally, the penicillin group of antibiotics is not advised to be taken with methotrexate, which is used for conditions like psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, etc. They may cause unpleasant side effects when taken together.
