About Dom Raspberry-Rose Flavour Suspension

Dom Raspberry-Rose Flavour Suspension is an antiemetic medicine. It is used to treat vomiting (being sick) in infants and children. Besides this, it also helps treat indigestion. In children, vomiting is a symptom of milk intolerance or food allergy.

Dom Raspberry-Rose Flavour Suspension contains domperidone, which is a dopamine antagonist. It works by blocking receptors for dopamine and serotonin, which stimulate the vomiting centre (chemoreceptor trigger zone – CTZ) in the brain. It increases the motility of the upper gastrointestinal tract and helps decrease gastric emptying time.

Dom Raspberry-Rose Flavour Suspension causes dry mouth as a side effect in your child. If this side effect worsens, please consult your paediatrician. Dom Raspberry-Rose Flavour Suspension should be given as advised by your doctor. Symptoms of nausea and vomiting may usually resolve within 3-4 days after taking Dom Raspberry-Rose Flavour Suspension. However, if it does not resolve even after this, stop giving this medicine to your child and contact the paediatrician.
