About Diosartan Tablet

Diosartan Tablet belongs to the group of anti-hypertensive medicines called angiotensin receptor II antagonist, used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). Additionally, Diosartan Tablet is used to treat heart failure and prevent heart attacks.

Diosartan Tablet contains ‘valsartan’, which works by relaxing and widening the blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood to all body parts. Thereby, Diosartan Tablet helps in lowering blood pressure to normal levels.

Diosartan Tablet may cause side effects such as dizziness, headache, abdominal pain, fatigue, diarrhoea, nausea, and vomiting. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve over time. However, talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Avoid taking NSAIDs with Diosartan Tablet unless prescribed by the doctor, as it could lead to an increased risk of kidney impairment and loss of anti-hypertensive effect.
