Deghor-120 Injection belongs to the group of medicines called gonadotropin-releasing hormone receptor antagonists indicated in the treatment of advanced prostate cancer. Prostate cancer is a cancer that occurs in the man’s prostate, a male reproductive gland.

Deghor-120 Injection contains Degarelix, a synthetic hormone blocker which works by decreasing the amount of testosterone and helps to stop or slow the spread of prostate cancer cells that require testosterone for their growth.

In some cases, Deghor-120 Injection may cause side effects such as injection site reaction and hot flushes. Most of these side effects may not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, if any of the side effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor.

Let the doctor know if you are allergic to any of the components in Deghor-120 Injection. This medicine is not intended for use in women. Deghor-120 Injection is not recommended for use in children. Inform your doctor about your health condition and medications to rule out any side effects/interactions.

Deghor-120 Injection is used in the treatment of Prostate cancer. The detailed uses of Deghor-120 Injection are as follows:

• Advanced prostate cancer: Deghor-120 Injection is primarily used to treat hormone-dependent prostate cancer in adult men. It works by blocking gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) receptors, resulting in a rapid reduction in testosterone levels. This decrease in testosterone helps to slow or stop the growth of cancer cells that depend on this hormone.
• Locally advanced prostate cancer (in combination with radiotherapy):Deghor-120 Injection may be used alongside radiation therapy in patients with high-risk, locally advanced prostate cancer, helping to shrink the tumour and improve treatment outcomes.&
• Rapid testosterone suppression: Unlike some other hormone therapies, Deghor-120 Injection provides immediate testosterone suppression without the initial surge (flare) seen with GnRH agonists, making it especially useful in patients where a quick hormonal response is critical.

• Follow your doctor’s instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
• Deghor-120 Injection is given by the doctor or a trained nurse.
• Do not self-administer.

Deghor-120 Injection contains Degarelix, a synthetic hormone blocker which works by decreasing the amount of testosterone and helps to stop or slow the spread of prostate cancer cells that require testosterone for their growth. Thereby, it helps treat prostate cancer.

Do not use Deghor-120 Injection if you are allergic to any of its components. Inform the doctor if you have heart rhythm problems, diabetes mellitus, osteoporosis, heart, liver or kidney problems, high blood pressure, or high/low blood levels of calcium, potassium, magnesium, or sodium in your blood. Avoid rubbing or scratching the injection site. After you receive a dose of Deghor-120 Injection, avoid allowing your body fluids to come into contact with your hands or other surfaces for at least 48 hours. Let the doctor know if you are taking any prescription/non-prescription medications, including herbal products and supplements.
