About Dacoplice 30 mg Tablet

Dacoplice 30 mg Tablet is an anti-cancer medicine used in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It is a common form of lung cancer in which abnormal cells grow in the lung tissues. Dacoplice 30 mg Tablet is used as a first-line therapy in the treatment of metastatic NSCLC with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) exon 19 deletion or exon 21 L858R substitution mutations.

Dacoplice 30 mg Tablet consists of Dacominitib, which belongs to the class of medicines known as kinase inhibitors. It works by stopping the action of an enzyme (tyrosine kinase) that causes the multiplication of cancerous cells. This prevents the abnormal growth of cancer cells and thus reduces the further spread to other parts of the body.

Dacoplice 30 mg Tablet may cause certain side effects such as diarrhea, rash, nausea, vomiting, dry skin, mouth sores, nail inflammation, ache, cough, abdominal pain, hair loss, decreased appetite, decreased weight loss, and itching. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor. Dacoplice 30 mg Tablet should be taken as advised by your doctor. Do not take more than the recommended dose. Your doctor will decide the dose of Dacoplice 30 mg Tablet based on the severity of your condition.

• Dacoplice 30 mg Tablet can be taken with or without food as advised by your doctor.• It is recommended to take Dacoplice 30 mg Tablet once daily or as advised by your doctor.• Swallow Dacoplice 30 mg Tablet as a whole with a full glass of water.• Do not chew, crush or break it.

  • Inform Your Doctor: Notify your doctor immediately about your diarrhoea symptoms. This allows them to adjust your medication or provide guidance on managing side effects.
  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of fluids to replace lost water and electrolytes. Choose water, clear broth, and electrolyte-rich drinks. Avoid carbonated or caffeinated beverages to effectively rehydrate your body.
  • Follow a Bland Diet: Eat easy-to-digest foods to help firm up your stool and settle your stomach. Try incorporating bananas, rice, applesauce, toast, plain crackers, and boiled vegetables into your diet.
  • Avoid Trigger Foods: Steer clear of foods that can worsen diarrhoea, such as spicy, fatty, or greasy foods, high-fibre foods, and dairy products (especially if you're lactose intolerant).
  • Practice Good Hygiene: Maintain good hygiene to prevent the spread of infection. To stay healthy, wash your hands frequently, clean and disinfect surfaces regularly, and avoid exchanging personal belongings with others.
  • Take Anti-Diarrheal Medications: If your doctor advises, anti-diarrheal medications such as loperamide might help manage diarrhoea symptoms. Always follow your doctor's directions.
  • Keep track of your diarrhoea symptoms. If they don't get better or worse or are accompanied by severe stomach pain, blood, or dehydration signs (like extreme thirst or dark urine), seek medical help.
  • Skin rash caused by allergies is due to irritants or allergens. Therefore, avoid contact with such irritants.
  • Consult your doctor for proper medication and apply an anti-itch medication. Follow the schedule and use the medication whenever needed.

  • Drink adequate water to prevent dehydration.
  • Wear pants, full sleeves and a wide-brimmed hat while going out in the sun.
  • Weight loss without physical activity needs immediate medical attention.
  • Get a physical examination and blood tests done to identify factors causing weight loss that could be related to metabolism and thyroid function.
  • Avoid smoking and alcohol intake as it can alter your liver condition and increase your weight loss.
  • Practice meditation and yoga to avoid anxiety, which can be one of the leading causes of weight loss.
  • Talk to your dietician and consume food which can maintain ideal weight.
  • Eat protein-rich foods like fish, poultry, eggs, and legumes.

What if I have taken an overdose of Dacoplice 30 mg Tablet

Do not take more than the prescribed dose. Using more medication will not improve your symptoms; instead, they may cause serious side effects or poisoning. If you suspect that you may have overdosed of Dacoplice 30 mg Tablet or observe any side effects, please go to the emergency department of the closest hospital or nursing home. No specific side effects have been reported under these circumstances.
