About Crevast F 10 Tablet

Crevast F 10 Tablet is indicated in the treatment of hyperlipidemia (high lipid levels), mixed dyslipidemia (low good cholesterol and high bad cholesterol and triglycerides), hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol) and hypertriglyceridemia (high levels of triglycerides).

Crevast F 10 Tablet contains Rosuvastatin and Fenofibrate. Rosuvastatin reduces cholesterol production in the liver. Fenofibrate works by lowering the level of triglycerides in the blood and bad cholesterol. Together, Crevast F 10 Tablet helps treat high cholesterol levels.

In some cases, you may experience nausea, headache, abdominal pain, muscle pain, weakness, and constipation. Most of these side effects of Crevast F 10 Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Do not take Crevast F 10 Tablet if you are allergic to any of its components. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Keep your doctor informed about your health conditions and medications to prevent any potential interactions.

Uses of Crevast F 10 Tablet

Crevast F 10 Tablet is used in the treatment of Hypertriglyceridemia, Hypercholesterolemia, and Mixed dyslipidemia. The detailed uses of Crevast F 10 Tablet are as follows:

  • Managing High Triglycerides: Crevast F 10 Tablet effectively reduces triglyceride levels, helping to manage and prevent complications associated with high triglycerides.
  • Lowering Cholesterol: Crevast F 10 Tablet lowers LDL (bad) cholesterol levels, reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease and promoting heart health.
  • Comprehensive Lipid Control in Mixed Dyslipidemia: Crevast F 10 Tablet provides comprehensive lipid control by reducing both LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels, while increasing HDL (good) cholesterol.

Directions for Use

  • Crevast F 10 Tablet can be taken with or without food as advised by your doctor.
  • Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
  • Swallow Crevast F 10 Tablet as a whole with a glass of water.
  • Do not crush, break, or chew it.

Medicinal Benefits

  • Crevast F 10 Tablet is a combination medicine primarily used to manage abnormal lipid/cholesterol levels in the blood.
  • It helps lower high levels of triglycerides (a type of fat) in the blood, which reduces the risk of pancreatitis and cardiovascular disease.
  • Effectively reduces elevated cholesterol levels, especially low-density lipoprotein (LDL or 'bad cholesterol').
  • Balances abnormal lipid profiles by lowering triglycerides and LDL, while increasing high-density lipoprotein (HDL or 'good cholesterol').
  • It increases the uptake and breakdown of LDL cholesterol in the liver and suppresses the production of very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL), thereby reducing overall bad cholesterol levels in the blood.
  • Crevast F 10 Tablet enhances the activity of lipoprotein lipase, an enzyme that breaks down fats in the bloodstream. It also helps reduce uric acid levels by promoting its excretion through urine.
  • It reduces the chances of complications such as heart attack, stroke, and angina (chest pain due to reduced blood flow to the heart) due to high cholesterol levels.

How Crevast F 10 Tablet Works

Crevast F 10 Tablet contains Rosuvastatin (statin) and Fenofibrate (fibric acid derivative). Rosuvastatin lowers the levels of raised lipids known as cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood and increases the good cholesterol (HDL) by blocking the body's production of bad cholesterol. It also improves your body's ability to remove it from your blood. On the other hand, Fenofibrate works by lowering the level of triglycerides in the blood. Together, Crevast F 10 Tablet helps treat high cholesterol/lipid levels.
