Corinase Nasal Drops

Your doctor may prescribe Corinase Nasal Drops to help manage the following conditions:

• Allergic rhinitis (hay fever): Reduces inflammation in the nose caused by seasonal allergens like pollen, relieving sneezing, itching, and congestion.
• Year-round (perennial) allergies: Helps manage chronic nasal symptoms triggered by indoor allergens such as dust mites, mould spores, and animal dander.
• Nasal polyps: Helps shrink small growths in the lining of the nose and helps prevent them from returning after surgery, improving nasal airflow.

When used as directed as part of your treatment plan, Corinase Nasal Drops may provide the following benefits:

• Relieves allergy symptoms: Helps reduce sneezing, a runny nose, nasal itching, and a blocked nose caused by allergies.
• Improves breathing through the nose: Reduces swelling inside the nose, making it easier to breathe comfortably.
• Provides long-term symptom control: Regular daily use helps keep allergy symptoms under control and reduces flare-ups.
• Helps manage nasal polyps: May help shrink nasal polyps and reduce the chance of them returning after surgery, as advised by your doctor.
• Supports better daily activities: By improving nasal symptoms, it may help you sleep better and carry out your usual daily activities more comfortably.

• Corinase Nasal Drops should be used exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once or twice daily to relieve symptoms like nasal congestion, sneezing, or a runny nose caused by allergies or inflammation.
• Gently shake the bottle, tilt your head slightly forward, and spray into each nostril while breathing in slowly. Avoid blowing your nose immediately after use.
• Do not spray into your eyes or mouth, and avoid overuse, as it may lead to side effects like nasal dryness, irritation, or nosebleeds.
• This medication is for nasal use only – do not swallow it.

• Reduce exposure to allergens: Keep windows closed during periods of high pollen if pollen triggers your symptoms, and use air conditioning where possible.
• Keep your nose clean: If recommended by your doctor or pharmacist, use a saline (salt water) nasal spray or rinse before using Corinase Nasal Drops to help clear mucus and allergens from your nose.
• Reduce dust and mould at home: Clean your home regularly, wash bedding routinely, and reduce dampness to help limit exposure to dust mites and mould.
• Stay well hydrated: Drinking enough fluids may help keep the lining of your nose moist and reduce dryness or irritation.
• Avoid known triggers: Try to avoid allergens or irritants that worsen your symptoms, such as pollen, dust, mould, cigarette smoke, or strong chemical fumes.

• Use the spray correctly: Aim the nozzle slightly away from the middle wall of your nose (nasal septum) to help reduce the risk of irritation or nosebleeds.
• Use the medicine regularly: Corinase Nasal Drops works best when used every day as prescribed. It may take several days before you notice the full benefit.
• Do not share your nasal spray: Sharing the bottle may spread germs and increase the risk of infection.
• Keep the spray nozzle clean: Clean the nozzle as described in the product instructions. Do not use pins or other sharp objects to unblock it, as this may damage the spray mechanism.
• Tell your doctor about recent nose surgery or injury: If you have recently had nasal surgery, an injury to your nose, or ongoing nose ulcers, ask your doctor whether it is safe to use this medicine.
• Use the medicine within the recommended period after opening: Check the expiry date and follow the package instructions for when to discard the bottle after it has been opened.
