I have had pain in my left ear with reduced hearing for the past 4-5 days. I am currently taking Almox 500 capsules and using Clozotic ear drops. Is there any alternative treatment or second option I should consider?

Pain in the ear with reduced hearing for 4-5 days is usually due to an ear infection, wax buildup, or fluid in the middle ear, and treatment depends on the exact cause. Almox 500 and Clozotic ear drops may help if there is a bacterial infection, but if symptoms are not improving, you should not change medicines on your own and instead get your ear examined by a doctor (ENT specialist if possible). The doctor may check for wax blockage, fungal infection, or middle ear infection and may adjust treatment accordingly, such as different ear drops, pain relief medicines, steam inhalation, or ear cleaning if needed. Avoid putting water or oil into the ear and do not insert anything inside, as this can worsen the problem. Seek urgent care if pain becomes severe, fever develops, or hearing worsens. With proper diagnosis and treatment, most ear problems improve within a few days.
