CEFORAM CLV TABLET is used to treat various bacterial infections in children, such as throat infections (pharyngitis, tonsillitis), pneumonia, bronchitis, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and ear infections.
CEFORAM CLV TABLET combines Cefuroxime and Clavulanic acid. Cefuroxime kills bacteria by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering, which is necessary for their survival. Clavulanic acid decreases bacterial resistance and enhances the activity of cefuroxime against the bacteria.
CEFORAM CLV TABLET may cause some common side effects such as abdominal pain or discomfort, diarrhoea, nausea, and vomiting.
