About Cartigen 1500 Tablet

Cartigen 1500 Tablet is used in the treatment of osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is a condition in which the joints are affected. It occurs as a result of the disintegration and breakdown of the cushioning tissue and cartilage surrounding the joints. Pain, redness and swelling in the joints of the hands, knees, hips and lower limbs are common symptoms.

Cartigen 1500 Tablet contains Glucosamine Sulfate Potassium Chloride, a chondroprotective agent that alleviates the pain and swelling occurring in joints and muscles by stimulating the production of proteoglycans, a necessary component required to synthesize bone-shielding cartilage. Thereby, Cartigen 1500 Tablet cushions bones and joints and provides pain relief.

Take Cartigen 1500 Tablet as advised. In some cases, Cartigen 1500 Tablet may cause certain common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea or constipation. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your physician if these side effects persist or worsen.

Avoid using Cartigen 1500 Tablet if allergic to it. Cartigen 1500 Tablet is not recommended for use in case of shellfish allergy. What if I have taken an overdose of Cartigen 1500 Tablet

Never take more than the suggested dose. Overdose of Cartigen 1500 Tablet may cause stomach pain or swelling, nausea, block stools, numbness or tingling in the skin, vomiting and weak or heavy legs or feet. Seek immediate medical help if you suspect that you might have taken an overdose.

Drug Warnings

Avoid using Cartigen 1500 Tablet if allergic to it. Cartigen 1500 Tablet is not advisable for use in case of a known allergy to shellfish. Inform your physician if you have/had kidney disease, diabetes, glaucoma, asthma, high cholesterol, liver or heart problems, or if you are on any blood-thinners, chemotherapy or anti-diabetic medication. . Also inform if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Talk to your doctor in case you have any surgery or procedure scheduled.
