Canestan Vaginal 100 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of vaginal thrush (candidiasis). The detailed uses of Canestan Vaginal 100 mg Tablet are as follows:

• Treatment of Vaginal Yeast Infections: Canestan Vaginal 100 mg Tablet is primarily used to treat infections caused by the overgrowth of yeast (Candida species) in the vaginal area.
• Relief from Itching and Discomfort: Canestan Vaginal 100 mg Tablet helps alleviate symptoms such as itching, burning, and discomfort associated with vaginal yeast infections.
• Prevention of Recurrent Yeast Infections: By treating the yeast infection effectively, Canestan Vaginal 100 mg Tablet can help prevent recurrent vaginal infections.

• Canestan Vaginal 100 mg Tablet comprises clotrimazole, an antifungal agent used to treat vaginal fungal infections such as vaginal thrush.
• Canestan Vaginal 100 mg Tablet works by destroying the fungus that causes the infection.
• It eliminates the infection by causing holes in the fungal cell membrane, allowing components to leak out and killing the fungus.

• Check the label for directions before use.
• Wash your hands thoroughly before and after inserting Canestan Vaginal 100 mg Tablet.
• Pull out plunger A until it stops. Place one vaginal tablet into the applicator B. Insert the applicator carefully into the vagina, as deep as possible. Push plunger A until it stops. Remove the applicator from the vagina.
• Wash the applicator after each use in warm, soapy water and dry completely.
• For vaginal insertion only. Not for oral use.
• During pregnancy, the vaginal tablet should be inserted without using an applicator.

• Shower regularly and properly dry yourself before clothing.
• Take warm baths with mild soap.
• Don't share your bedding, towels, or clothes.
• Wearing tights or tight underwear is not recommended.
• Do not scratch the infected area. Scratching the infected skin area may spread the illness to other body parts.
• Avoid harsh soaps and deodorants or any other products.
• Avoid intercourse till the thrush has been treated.
• Limit or cut down your consumption of alcohol and caffeine.
• Reduce your intake of sugar, yeast, refined carbohydrates, and mouldy foods.

• Do not use Canestan Vaginal 100 mg Tablet if you are hypersensitive or allergic to any of its components.
• Canestan Vaginal 100 mg Tablet is for vaginal use only. Do not swallow.
• If you are pregnant, planning to have a baby, or are a nursing mother, you should not use Canestan Vaginal 100 mg Tablet without a doctor's advice.
• You should not use tampons and other vaginal products while using Canestan Vaginal 100 mg Tablet.
• It is also not recommended to use Canestan Vaginal 100 mg Tablet during your menstrual period (menses); wait until your period is over. 
• During treatment, vaginal medications frequently leak out of the vagina.
• You may wear a mini-pad or sanitary napkin to prevent the medicine from staining your clothes.
