About Caldrich Tablet

Caldrich Tablet belongs to the class of nutritional supplements used to prevent or treat low blood calcium levels in people who cannot get sufficient calcium from their diets. Caldrich Tablet effectively treats various conditions caused by low calcium levels in the body, such as osteoporosis (weak and brittle bones), osteomalacia/rickets (weak bones), hypoparathyroidism (low levels of parathyroid hormone), and latent tetany (a muscle disease with low blood calcium levels).

The detailed uses of Caldrich Tablet are as follows:<br/>• Treat or prevent calcium and vitamin D deficiencies: Caldrich Tablet is widely used to support bone health and treat or prevent calcium and vitamin D deficiencies.<br/>• Postmenopausal support: Caldrich Tablet is helpful in postmenopausal support when bone loss risk increases.<br/>• Treatment of conditions with low calcium: Caldrich Tablet is used in the treatment of conditions with low calcium like osteoporosis and osteopenia (bone thinning conditions) and osteomalacia and rickets.<br/>

Directions for Use

• Caldrich Tablet can be taken with or without food. However, taking it with food may help reduce stomach upset and improve absorption.• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.• Swallow Caldrich Tablet as a whole with a glass of water. • Do not crush, chew, or break it.

What if I have taken an overdose of Caldrich Tablet

If you accidentally take more medicine than your doctor told you to, or if a child has taken some medicine by mistake, contact your doctor or go to your nearest emergency department immediately. An overdose could cause adverse events. Signs and symptoms of overdose may include nausea/vomiting, loss of appetite, mental/mood changes, headache, drowsiness, weakness, tiredness. Consult the doctor even if there are no signs of discomfort.

If you are allergic to Caldrich Tablet , vitamin D products, or other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a doctor before using Caldrich Tablet . Diet & Lifestyle Advise

  • Include dairy products like milk, yogurt, cheese, or milk-based custard in your diet.
  • Eat daily a serving of broccoli, cabbage, bok choy (Chinese white cabbage), spinach, and other green leafy vegetables.
  • Snack on calcium-rich nuts like Brazil nuts or almonds.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds over your food, vegetables, and salads. Sesame seeds are high in calcium.
  • Avoid or reduce the intake of caffeine, soft drinks, and alcohol that inhibit calcium absorption.
  • Replace the meat with tofu or tempeh for extra calcium in your food.

You are not recommended to take Caldrich Tablet if you have hypervitaminosis D (high vitamin D levels in the blood) as it may worsen the condition. However, please consult a doctor before using Caldrich Tablet .

Caldrich Tablet is not recommended for patients with malabsorption (inefficient absorption of nutrients from the bowel) syndrome. Please consult a doctor before using Caldrich Tablet if you have malabsorption syndrome.

You are not recommended to take Caldrich Tablet with levothyroxine as co-administration of these two medicines at the same time may reduce the effectiveness of levothyroxine. However, if you are supposed to take both medicines, you are advised to maintain a time gap of a minimum of 4 hours between taking Caldrich Tablet and levothyroxine.

Caldrich Tablet is not recommended for a patient suffering from kidney stones as it may worsen the condition. Therefore, if you have any kidney problems or have a history of kidney stones, please inform your doctor before taking Caldrich Tablet .

Vitamin D can be found in various food sources, including mushrooms, particularly shiitake and portobello, and fortified plant-based milk like soy and almond milk. Fortified cereals and vegetarian vitamin D-fortified yoghurt are also good sources. Additionally, sun-dried mushrooms and orange juice fortified with vitamin D can contribute to your daily intake. Some brands of tofu and other soy products may also contain vitamin D. Naturally rich sources include cod liver oil and fatty fish like salmon, mackerel, and sardines. However, it's essential to check nutrition labels to confirm the presence of vitamin D in these foods.
