C-Poxime Oral Suspension belongs to the group of cephalosporin antibiotics indicated in the treatment of bacterial infections. Bacterial infections occur when harmful bacteria multiply inside or on the body. C-Poxime Oral Suspension does not work against infections caused by the virus, including cold and flu.
C-Poxime Oral Suspension contains Cefpodoxime proxetil, which is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. C-Poxime Oral Suspension works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering (cell wall), which is necessary for their survival. Thereby, C-Poxime Oral Suspension kills bacteria and helps treat bacterial infections.
In some cases, C-Poxime Oral Suspension may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea (watery or loose stool), and abdominal pain. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to the doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
Let the doctor know if your child is allergic to any components of C-Poxime Oral Suspension. Keep the doctor informed about your child's health condition and medications to rule out any unpleasant side effects/interactions.

C-Poxime Oral Suspension is used to treat bacterial infections.
C-Poxime Oral Suspension works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering, which is necessary for their survival. This kills bacteria and helps treat bacterial infections.
C-Poxime Oral Suspension may cause diarrhoea. If the child experiences diarrhoea, give them water and non-spicy food. Consult a doctor if the condition persists or worsens.
To treat the condition effectively, it is recommended that the course of C-Poxime Oral Suspension be completed even if the child feels better. Leaving it in between may lead to a severe infection that will, in fact, stop responding to the antibiotic as well (antibiotic resistance).
