Buscopil Injection

Buscopil Injection belongs to a group of medicines called anti-spasmodic agents, which are used to treat gastrointestinal and urogenital spasms (stomach, intestines, biliary tract, pancreas, and urinary tract). Additionally, it may be used for diagnostic and therapeutic medical procedures where spasms may be an issue, such as barium enema (an x-ray exam used to detect changes or abnormalities in the colon) or gastroduodenal endoscopy, as well as to induce smooth muscle relaxation prior to radiological procedures like pyelography (x-ray exam to detect abnormalities in the urinary tract). Buscopil Injection works by relaxing the muscles in the stomach, intestine, and bladder. Thus, it provides relief from cramps, discomfort, and pain.

• Eat smaller meals more often.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
• Maintain a healthy weight by regular exercising.
• Avoid carbonated and caffeinated beverages.
• Practice relaxation techniques and avoid stress by doing yoga or meditation.
• Avoid foods such as high-fat food, spicy food, chocolates, citrus fruits, pineapple, tomato, onion, garlic, tea, and soda. 
• Avoid deep-fried and spicy foods.
• Foods containing probiotics may help in providing relief from gas and bloating.

Do not take Buscopil Injection if you are allergic to any of its contents if you have glaucoma, myasthenia gravis (muscle problems), blockage of the gut, difficulty passing urine, very fast heart rate, or a very enlarged bowel. Inform your doctor if you have severe constipation, blood in stools, loss of appetite, fever, fast heart rate, overactive thyroid, or severe sweating problems. Do not take Buscopil Injection if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Buscopil Injection may cause blurred vision and dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Buscopil Injection is not recommended for children. Consult your doctor immediately if you observe blood in stools, changes in bowel movements, abdominal tenderness, low blood pressure, nausea, vomiting, and fever.
