About Busacold Tablet

Busacold Tablet is primarily used to treat the common cold and allergy symptoms like sneezing, watery eyes, or an itchy/watery nose and throat. The common cold is a respiratory illness affecting the nose and throat, mostly caused by rhinovirus. The virus spreads quickly through droplets in the air when a sick person sneezes, coughs, or talks.

Busacold Tablet contains Paracetamol, Phenylephrine hydrochloride, Chlorpheniramine maleate, and Caffeine. Paracetamol inhibits the production of certain chemical messengers in the brain known as prostaglandins, which are responsible for pain and fever. Phenylephrine hydrochloride helps shrink the blood vessels in the nasal passage, thereby reducing the stuffy nose. Chlorpheniramine maleate blocks the action of histamine, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions. Caffeine acts as a stimulant and increases alertness.

Busacold Tablet can be taken with or without food or as directed by the physician. Your doctor will recommend how often you need to take Busacold Tablet based on your medical condition. In some cases, Busacold Tablet may cause common side effects such as drowsiness, sleepiness, nausea, fatigue, difficulty sleeping, and headache. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually. However, consult your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Directions for Use

  • Busacold Tablet can be taken with or without food, but taking it with food may help reduce the chance of stomach upset.
  • Take it at the same time each day, as directed by your doctor, to maintain consistent levels in the body.
  • Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.
  • Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet; doing so may affect the medication's release and effectiveness.

What if I have taken an overdose of Busacold Tablet

Do not take more than the prescribed dose. Using more medication will not improve your symptoms; rather, it may cause poisoning or serious side effects. If you suspect that you may have overdosed on Busacold Tablet , please go to the emergency department of the closest hospital or nursing home.

Please tell your doctor if you are allergic to Busacold Tablet or any other medicines. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is advised to inform your doctor before using Busacold Tablet .
