About Burnheal Plus Cream
Burnheal Plus Cream is a dermatological medication, primarily used to treat burns and wound infections. A burn damages the skin or deeper tissues caused by hot liquids, fire, electricity, and chemicals. The degree of severity of burns is based on the size and depth of the burn.
Burnheal Plus Cream is composed of two drugs: Sulfadiazine (antibiotic) and Chlorhexidine (antiseptic). Sulfadiazine is used to treat or prevent severe infection on areas of skin with second or third-degree burns. It shows the bactericidal (kills bacteria) effect on many gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria and is effective against yeast. Chlorhexidine is an antiseptic that shows bacteriostatic (stops the reproduction of bacteria) and bactericidal activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. It is also effective against yeast and cleans the affected areas by killing harmful microbes.
Burnheal Plus Cream is for external use only. Burnheal Plus Cream has common side effects as every medicine does. These include burning, irritation, itching and redness at the application site. These side effects gradually resolve during the treatment and do not require medical attention.
Brief your medical history to the doctor if you are allergic to Burnheal Plus Cream or its components. Let your doctor know if you have blood disorders, asthma, allergies, diarrhoea, vomiting, dehydration, or liver and kidney problems. Please consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or are a breastfeeding mother before using Burnheal Plus Cream.
