About Brisc Tablet

Brisc Tablet belongs to a class of medications called 'haematinics' used to treat anaemia (lack of blood) due to iron deficiency and chronic kidney disease. Anaemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough red blood cells to carry the adequate oxygen required to various body tissues.

Brisc Tablet contains Ferrous ascorbate, which is a combination of iron and vitamin C. Iron works by replenishing iron stores, and vitamin C enhances iron absorption in the body. Thus, Brisc Tablet helps to treat iron deficiency.

Take Brisc Tablet as advised by your doctor. In some cases, you may experience vomiting, nausea, diarrhoea or dark-coloured stool. Most of these side effects of Brisc Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Brisc Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a doctor before using Brisc Tablet . • Brisc Tablet should be taken with food for better absorption. However, avoid taking it with coffee, tea, or dairy products, as they may reduce its absorption.• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.• Shake the bottle well before each use. • Take the recommended dose of Brisc Tablet by mouth using the measuring cup/dropper provided with the pack.• Avoid using regular household spoons, as they may not measure the dose correctly.

You are not recommended to take Brisc Tablet with phenytoin as co-administration of these two medicines may reduce the concentration of Brisc Tablet in blood and increase the risk of seizures (fits). However, please consult a doctor before taking Brisc Tablet with phenytoin.

Brisc Tablet should be used with caution in patients suffering from stomach ulcers as it may worsen the condition. Therefore, it is advised to inform your doctor if you have an ulcer before taking Brisc Tablet .

Brisc Tablet may turn stools to black colour. It is a common side effect of Brisc Tablet and is not harmful.
