Bis-G Tablet 8's is primarily used to treat peptic ulcer, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and Helicobacter pylori infection. GERD occurs when stomach acid frequently flows back into the food pipe (oesophagus). Peptic ulcers are sores that develop on the inner lining of the intestine and stomach.
Bis-G Tablet 8's contains Tripotassium dicitrato bismuthate. It is known to increase mucosal prostaglandin secretion, which inhibits gastric acid secretion.

Thus, Bis-G Tablet 8's relieves stomach ulcers, heartburn, GERD, and other gastrointestinal discomforts.
Bis-G Tablet 8's is usually not recommended for longer durations. Talk to your doctor if you do not feel better even after taking Bis-G Tablet 8's for 4 to 8 weeks. Do not take Bis-G Tablet 8's for longer durations unless prescribed by the doctor. While being treated with Bis-G Tablet 8's, a regular check-up is advised.
Antacids may interfere with the absorption of Bis-G Tablet 8's. It is advised to take antacid and Bis-G Tablet 8's with a gap of 30 minutes. Please seek medical advice on how to use other medicines like antacids while using Bis-G Tablet 8's.

Concomitant (simultaneous) use of milk with Bis-G Tablet 8's is not recommended. It is advised to not take milk within 30 minutes before or after administration of Bis-G Tablet 8's.
