About Beugli M2 Tablet

Beugli M2 Tablet belongs to a class of medicines called anti-diabetic drugs used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes, especially in patients whose blood sugar levels are not controlled by diet and exercise alone.

Beugli M2 Tablet contains Glimepiride and Metformin. Glimepiride helps the pancreas release more insulin, thereby lowering blood sugar levels. Metformin reduces the amount of sugar produced by the liver, slows down sugar absorption from food, and helps the body use insulin more effectively.

In some cases, Beugli M2 Tablet may cause side effects like stomach pain, nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, headache or metallic taste. Most of these side effects of Beugli M2 Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Do not take Beugli M2 Tablet if you are allergic to any of its components. Beugli M2 Tablet is not recommended during pregnancy, breastfeeding and in children. Avoid alcohol consumption with Beugli M2 Tablet as it may increase the risk of lactic acidosis (accumulation of lactic acid in the body).

Uses of Beugli M2 Tablet

Beugli M2 Tablet is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. The detailed uses of Beugli M2 Tablet are as follows:

  • Management of Type 2 Diabetes: Beugli M2 Tablet helps lower blood sugar levels in individuals diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
  • Improvement of Insulin Sensitivity: Beugli M2 Tablet enhances the action of insulin, making the body's tissues more responsive to it.
  • Reduction of Cardiovascular Risks: Regular use of Beugli M2 Tablet can help reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases in diabetic patients.
  • Control of Blood Sugar Levels Post Meals: Beugli M2 Tablet assists in lowering postprandial blood sugar spikes, which is beneficial for overall diabetes management.

Directions for Use

  • Beugli M2 Tablet can be taken with meals or as prescribed by the doctor.
  • Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication to ensure safety.
  • Swallow Beugli M2 Tablet as a whole with a glass of water.
  • Do not chew, crush or break it.

Medicinal Benefits

  • Beugli M2 Tablet is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycaemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes.
  • It helps manage blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes and prevents diabetes-related complications like kidney damage, eye problems, and nerve issues.
  • Beugli M2 Tablet contains Glimepiride and Metformin, which work together to offer a dual-action approach for effectively managing type 2 diabetes.
  • Glimepiride stimulates cells in the pancreas that produce insulin, which helps remove sugar from the blood.
  • Metformin reduces sugar production by cells in the liver and delays sugar absorption from the intestines. Additionally, it enhances the sensitivity of muscle cells to insulin, allowing these cells to remove sugar more effectively from the bloodstream.

How Beugli M2 Tablet Works

Beugli M2 Tablet is a combination of two antidiabetic drugs, namely: Glimepiride and Metformin. Glimepiride works by stimulating beta cells in the pancreas that produce insulin. Thus, insulin helps to remove sugar from the blood. Metformin works by reducing the sugar production by cells in the liver and delays sugar absorption from the intestines. Also, it increases the sensitivity of muscle cells to insulin, which enables these cells to remove sugar more effectively from the blood.

Storage
