About Betasop-S Tablet

Betasop-S Tablet is used to reduce inflammation (swelling, redness, heat, and tenderness) in the body. Thus, it is used to improve different conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, severe allergic reactions, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLS) and polyarteritis nodosa (swollen arteries), inflammatory conditions of the skin, heart, kidney (like minimal change nephrotic syndrome or acute interstitial nephritis) and bowels (like ulcerative colitis-inflammation in the digestive tract or Crohn’s disease), certain conditions of the blood, some connective tissues diseases and some types of cancer such as malignant lymphoma. 

Betasop-S Tablet contains Betamethasone, a steroid that works by acting inside skin cells and inhibits the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching, and swelling. When the skin reacts to any type of allergens, such chemicals are released normally.

Take Betasop-S Tablet as prescribed. Your doctor will advise you on how often you take Betasop-S Tablet based on your medical condition. Some people may experience nausea, indigestion, irregular periods, weight gain, or increased susceptibility to infection. Most of these side effects of Betasop-S Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor. 

If you are allergic to Betamethsone or other steroids or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. The detailed uses of Betasop-S Tablet are as follows:<br/> • Anti-inflammatory Effects: Betasop-S Tablet is used to suppress inflammation in various conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease).<br/>• Allergic Conditions: Betasop-S Tablet is used to manage severe asthma and severe allergic reactions like dust allergies, contact dermatitis, and allergic rhinitis when other treatments are not effective.<br/>• Cancer Treatment: Betasop-S Tablet may also be used in the treatment of certain types of cancers like multiple myeloma (a type of blood cancer), lymphoma (cancer of lymph nodes) and lymphatic leukemia.<br/>• Endocrine Disorders: Betasop-S Tablet is used in the treatment of congenital adrenal hyperplasia (an inherited condition causing swollen adrenal glands).<br/>

Directions for Use

  • Take Betasop-S Tablet right after breakfast as taking it in the morning after food helps to reduce the chance of side effects.
  • Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
  • Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water.
