Betaderm 0.025% Lotion is a corticosteroid medicine which is used in the treatment of autoimmune skin disorders like psoriasis, eczema and dermatitis. This medicine contains beclomethasone which works by inhibiting the production of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause inflammation and thus reduces swelling, redness, and itching. Common side effects include itching, redness, burning or stinging sensation at the application site. It is an external preparation. Hence avoid contact with eyes, ears, nose and mouth.

About Betaderm 0.025% Lotion

Betaderm 0.025% Lotion belongs to a class of topical corticosteroid medications used to treat skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema and dermatitis. Psoriasis is a skin condition characterised by flaky patches of skin covered with scales. Eczema is a skin disorder that causes dry, red, itchy, and rough skin. Dermatitis is a red, itchy rash generated by direct touch with a chemical or an allergic reaction.

Betaderm 0.025% Lotion contains Beclomethasone dipropionate, a corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory properties. It reduces swelling, redness, and itching by inhibiting the production of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause inflammation. Thus, Betaderm 0.025% Lotion aids in treating skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema and dermatitis.

Betaderm 0.025% Lotion is for external use only. Apply Betaderm 0.025% Lotion directly to the affected area. In some cases, Betaderm 0.025% Lotion may cause itching, redness, burning or stinging sensation at the application site. • Apply Betaderm 0.025% Lotion once or twice daily; however, follow your doctor's advice regarding the dosage and duration.• Take a small amount of Betaderm 0.025% Lotion on the fingertip and apply as a thin layer on the clean and dry affected area as suggested by your doctor.• Wash your hands before and after using Betaderm 0.025% Lotion if your hands are not the affected area to prevent the spread of infection.

Avoid exceeding the recommended dose as it might cause an overdose. Long-term use of high doses may cause skin thinning, changes in body fat, easy bruising, increased acne or facial hair, impotence or loss of interest in sex, and menstrual problems. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience these symptoms or suspect you have overdosed.
