Benitowa-Trio Tablet is an antihypertensive medication used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and reduce the risk of heart attack or stroke in adults. It contains Chlorthalidone, Benidipine, and Telmisartan. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic that increases the removal of excess water and certain salts, such as sodium and potassium, from the blood. This water removal from blood reduces the fluid volume circulating through blood vessels and improves blood flow. Benidipine and Telmisartan relax and widen blood vessels. Thus, they lower high blood pressure and reduce the risk of stroke, heart attack, or other heart problems.

About Benitowa-Trio Tablet

Benitowa-Trio Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called antihypertensives used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and reduce the risk of heart attack or stroke in adults. Hypertension or high blood pressure is a chronic condition in which the force exerted by the blood against the artery wall is high. It will be an addition to the workload of the heart and arteries.

Benitowa-Trio Tablet consists of Chlorthalidone (diuretic), Benidipine (calcium channel blocker), and Telmisartan (angiotensin II receptor blocker). Chlorthalidone belongs to the class of diuretics (water tablets) that works by increasing the removal of excess water and certain salts, such as sodium and potassium, from the blood. This removal of water from blood reduces the fluid volume circulating through blood vessels and improves blood flow. Benidipine is a calcium channel blocker that acts on muscle cells in the artery walls and relaxes muscle cells. It relaxes and widens arteries (blood vessels) and improves the blood flow and oxygen supply to the heart. Telmisartan works by blocking a hormone called angiotensin II in the body that causes the narrowing of blood vessels leading to high blood pressure. Thereby, Benitowa-Trio Tablet widens and relaxes blood vessels. Thus, it lowers high blood pressure.

Benitowa-Trio Tablet should be taken as prescribed by your doctor. This medicine may cause side effects such as dizziness, headache, low blood pressure, stomach upset, or tiredness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist, please consult your doctor.

Benitowa-Trio Tablet should be avoided if you are allergic to it. Benitowa-Trio Tablet is not recommended for children below 18 years of age. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, avoid taking Benitowa-Trio Tablet and consult a doctor. If you are about to take anesthesia or undergo any surgery, you are advised to inform your doctor that you are taking Benitowa-Trio Tablet. Drive only if you are alert, as Benitowa-Trio Tablet may cause dizziness or tiredness. You are recommended to avoid alcohol consumption with Benitowa-Trio Tablet as it may increase the risk of low blood pressure.
