Azlice 200 Oral Suspension is used to treat several bacterial infections of the upper/lower respiratory tract, middle ear, skin and soft tissue. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. 

Azlice 200 Oral Suspension contains Azithromycin, which works by inhibiting the production of essential proteins that are necessary for bacteria to grow, multiply and increase in numbers. Thus, it prevents the growth of bacteria.

Not every child who is taking Azlice 200 Oral Suspension will get these side effects. Azlice 200 Oral Suspension may cause common side effects such as diarrhoea, vomiting, headache, nausea or stomach pain. Most of these side effects of Azlice 200 Oral Suspension do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Give Azlice 200 Oral Suspension to your child as prescribed by the doctor. It can be taken with or without food but should be consumed at a fixed time for the best results. The Azlice 200 Oral Suspension should not be given in a dose exceeding the recommended amount to avoid unpleasant side effects.

• Azlice 200 Oral Suspension slows the growth or sometimes kills the harmful bacteria by preventing the production of proteins required by the bacteria for its survival.
• It is better tolerated and has more effective tissue penetration than other similar antibiotics like erythromycin.
• Doctors prescribe Azlice 200 Oral Suspension for children who are intolerant to penicillin antibiotics.

• Avoid taking Azlice 200 Oral Suspension if you are allergic to it or other macrolide antibiotics.
• Tell your doctor if you have any history of liver problems or jaundice.
