I have multiple sclerosis and am taking Avonex, but now I have pain in my ear. What could be the reason, and what should I do?

Ear pain while taking Avonex can be due to a simple ear infection, wax buildup, or sometimes nerve-related pain, and it may not always be due to multiple sclerosis. Try to keep the ear dry, avoid inserting anything into it, rest well, and watch for signs such as fever, discharge, or hearing changes. You can use a warm compress around the ear for comfort and see if it improves. If the pain continues or worsens, you should consult a doctor to check the cause and get proper advice.
