Asthacold-CC Tablet is used in the treatment of cough and cold. The detailed uses of Asthacold-CC Tablet are as follows:

• Cough and cold symptoms: Asthacold-CC Tablet is primarily used to treat cough and cold symptoms.
• Respiratory infections: Asthacold-CC Tablet is used for respiratory infections, allergies, and congestion.

Asthacold-CC Tablet is primarily used to treat cough and cold, which is composed of five medicines, namely, dextromethorphan (cough suppressant), cetirizine (antihistamine), phenylephrine (decongestant), ambroxol (mucolytic agent), and guaiphenesin (expectorant). Dextromethorphan works by blocking the cough receptor in the brain, thereby reducing coughing. Cetirizine, an antihistamine, neutralizes histamine's allergy-causing effects. Phenylephrine reduces nasal congestion by narrowing blood vessels. Ambroxol helps soothe dry coughs with its mild anesthetic properties, reducing throat irritation and airway inflammation. Guaiphenesin thins mucus, making it easier to expel. It also helps treat allergic symptoms like nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, allergic rhinitis, bronchial asthma, bronchospasm, and clear respiratory airways.

Inform your doctor if you are currently taking or have recently stopped taking monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors.
