Your doctor may recommend this medicine to help manage the following conditions:

• Amoebic dysentery: It targets and eliminates the amoeba parasites in the intestines, stopping severe, bloody diarrhoea and abdominal pain.
• Amoebic liver abscess: It helps treat the liver infection caused by amoeba, while also helping clear amoeba from the intestines to reduce the risk of recurrence.
• Mixed intestinal infections: It works against both bacterial and protozoan pathogens in the digestive tract to resolve complex gut infections.

When taken consistently as directed, this medicine may provide the following physiological benefits:

• Relieves symptoms: Helps provide relief from painful abdominal cramps and frequent, watery stools, allowing you to return to your daily routine more comfortably.

• Do not chew, crush or break it.

• Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of safe, filtered, or boiled water, oral rehydration solutions (ORS), and clear broths to replace lost fluids and electrolytes from diarrhoea.
• Eat Bland Foods: Stick to simple, easily digestible foods like bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast until your gut recovers.
• Avoid Irritants: Steer clear of spicy, greasy, high-fibre, and dairy products, as these can irritate your sensitive digestive tract and worsen diarrhoea.
• Practice Strict Hygiene: Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before eating, after using the restroom, and before preparing food to prevent reinfection or spreading the parasite to others.
• Ensure Food Safety: Consume only freshly cooked, hot food and avoid raw vegetables, unpeeled fruits, or street food while recovering.

• Complete the Full Course: Never stop taking it early, even if your symptoms disappear, as the underlying infection may not be fully cured and can relapse.
