About Amfy Gel

Amfy Gel belongs to a class of medicines called 'antifungals' used to treat fungal skin infections. Also, Amfy Gel is used to treat diaper rash and bed sores. A fungal infection is a disease in which fungi attack the tissue and cause infection. Fungi are commonly present in nature but do not cause infections normally.

Amfy Gel contains Amphotericin B, which kills fungi by destroying the fungal outer cell membrane. The fungal cell membranes are essential for their survival as they prevent the entry of unwanted substances into the cells and stop the leakage of cell contents.

Use Amfy Gel as advised by the doctor. Amfy Gel is only for external use. Sometimes, you may experience itching, irritation, redness or burning sensation at the application site. Most of these side effects of Amfy Gel do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Amphotericin B or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Amfy Gel should be used with caution in children and the elderly if advised by a doctor. Uses of Amfy Gel

Amfy Gel is used in the treatment of Fungal skin infections. The detailed uses of Amfy Gel are as follows:<br/>• Treat localized fungal infections: Amfy Gel is applied topically to manage cutaneous and mucosal fungal infections such as candidiasis, aspergillosis, and other dermatophytic conditions by disrupting fungal cell membranes.<br/>• Support antifungal therapy in immunocompromised patients: Amfy Gel helps control superficial fungal growth in patients with weakened immune systems, especially when systemic antifungals are contraindicated or used concurrently.<br/>

Directions for Use

• Clean and dry the affected area before applying a thin layer of the medication, rub it in gently, allow absorption, and wash your hands thoroughly afterwards.• Do not swallow the medication, avoid applying to broken or irritated skin unless directed, do not use near eyes, mouth, or mucous membranes, and follow the prescribed dosage and frequency without exceeding the recommended amount.

• Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight.• Keep Amfy Gel out of the sight and reach of children. • Non cold chain - To be stored in cool places at 10ºC to 25ºC or below 30ºC.
Side effects of Amfy Gel 15 gm
  • Rash caused by allergies is due to irritants or allergens. Therefore, avoid contact with such irritants.
  • Consult your doctor for proper medication and apply an anti-itch medication. Follow the schedule and use the medication whenever needed.
  • Protect your skin from extreme heat and try to apply wet compresses.
  • Soak in the cool bath, which gives a soothing impact to the affected area.

What if I have taken an overdose of Amfy Gel

Overdosing is unlikely harmful, although it is best not to exceed the prescribed amount. Seek emergency medical attention or call your doctor if you notice any unusual symptoms, or anyone has accidentally swallowed the medication or if you suspect that you may have overdosed of Amfy Gel.
