Aller-Nil Drops 5 ml

Aller-Nil Drops 5 ml is used to treat eye redness, itching, and watery eyes caused by allergies such as hay fever, per hair, and house dust mites. An allergy is an immune system response to foreign elements typically not harmful to the body. Eye allergy occurs when the eye becomes red and swollen, leading to inflammation, discomfort, and pain.

Aller-Nil Drops 5 ml contains Sodium cromoglycate, which works by stabilising mast cells (immune cells) and preventing the release of histamine, a substance responsible for allergic reactions. Thus, it prevents allergic responses and reduces allergic symptoms.

Aller-Nil Drops 5 ml is only for ophthalmic use (eyes). You are advised to use Aller-Nil Drops 5 ml for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition.  In some cases, you may experience stinging or burning in the eyes, blurred vision and eye irritation. Most of these side effects of Aller-Nil Drops 5 ml do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects worsen or persist, please consult your doctor. 

If you are allergic to Sodium cromoglycate or other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please consult a doctor before using Aller-Nil Drops 5 ml. Drive only if your vision is clear, as Aller-Nil Drops 5 ml may cause temporary blurred vision immediately after using it. If you are using two eye medications, wait for at least 5 to 15 minutes before using the other eye medications. Please consult your doctor immediately if you develop any other eye condition while using Aller-Nil Drops 5 ml.

Aller-Nil Drops 5 ml is used in the treatment of allergic symptoms of the eye. The detailed uses of Aller-Nil Drops 5 ml are as follows:

• Treatment of Eye Allergies: Aller-Nil Drops 5 ml is used in the prevention and treatment of acute, seasonal, and perennial allergic conjunctivitis by stabilizing mast cells, preventing histamine release, and reducing inflammation.
• Symptom Relief: Aller-Nil Drops 5 ml provides relief from allergic eye symptoms such as itching, redness, and watering, offering comfort and soothing irritated eyes.

• Follow your doctor's recommendations on the dosage and timing of this medication to achieve optimal results.
• Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Gently pull your lower eyelid with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops as advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
• Aller-Nil Drops 5 ml is for ophthalmic use only.
• Do not touch the tip of the dropper, as it may contaminate the solution.

Do not touch the container tip to the eye, eyelids or surrounding areas as it may contaminate Aller-Nil Drops 5 ml and cause eye infections.  If you are using two eye medications, wait for at least 5 to 15 minutes before using the other eye medications.
