Aklief Cream is used to treat acne vulgaris of the face and/or trunk when many comedones (blackheads and whiteheads), papules (small bumps) and pustules (inflammatory pimples) are present. Acne vulgaris is a common skin condition that occurs when hair follicles are blocked with dead skin cells and oil. Acne occurs due to overactive sebaceous (oil) glands in the skin.

Aklief Cream contains Trifarotene, which works by unplugging blocked hair follicles and preventing the formation of such plugs in the first place.

Aklief Cream is for external use only. Use Aklief Cream as prescribed. Your doctor will advise you on how often you need to use Aklief Cream based on your medical condition. Aklief Cream may cause common side effects such as skin irritation, itching or sunburn. Most of these side effects of Aklief Cream do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Trifarotene or any other ingredients in Aklief Cream, tell your doctor. You are recommended to apply a moisturizer from the beginning of treatment, which may help prevent reactions such as peeling, redness, dryness, and stinging/burning. Do not apply Aklief Cream on cuts, scrapes, abraded, eczematous or sunburned skin. Apply Aklief Cream carefully to sensitive areas of the skin such as armpits or neck. Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight, including phototherapy or sunlamps during treatment with Aklief Cream. Do not apply Aklief Cream in larger amounts than prescribed, as it does not give quick or better results but makes your skin scaly, irritated or red.

Aklief Cream is used in the treatment of Acne vulgaris (acne). The detailed uses of Aklief Cream are as follows:

• Treatment of acne vulgaris: Aklief Cream is used primarily for the treatment of acne vulgaris.
• Treats acne: Aklief Cream treats acne on the face, chest, and back by reducing inflammation and preventing clogged pores.
• Improves skin texture: Aklief Cream improves skin texture and promotes cell renewal, helping to clear existing acne and prevent new breakouts.

• Aklief Cream should be applied once daily in the evening or as advised by your doctor.
• Check the label for directions before using this medication.
• Aklief Cream is for topical use only.
• Apply a thin layer of cream to the clean and dry affected areas of the face (nose, chin, forehead, and right and left cheeks) and all affected areas of the trunk.
• If Aklief Cream accidentally comes into contact with the eyes, eyelids, lips, or mucous membranes, rinse with plenty of lukewarm water immediately.

Aklief Cream belongs to a class of drugs called retinoids (synthetic vitamin A). Aklief Cream helps skin replace its old skin cells at a faster speed, exfoliating away the old cells in the process and helping prevent the formation of new acne. Thus, it loosens blackheads and whiteheads, making them easier to come out, stops the formation of new whiteheads and blackheads, and lowers the number of inflamed, red acne spots.

If you are allergic to Trifarotene or any other ingredients in Aklief Cream, tell your doctor. Apply Aklief Cream carefully to sensitive areas of the skin such as armpits or neck. Avoid waxing as a depilatory method on the skin treated with Aklief Cream as it may increase skin sensitivity. Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight, including phototherapy or sunlamps during treatment with Aklief Cream. Wear protective clothing and use sunscreen while going out to protect your skin from sunburn. Do not apply Aklief Cream in larger amounts than prescribed, as it does not give quick or better results but makes your skin scaly, irritated or red. Avoid using skin products that may dry or irritate your skin, such as medicated or abrasive soaps and cleansers, products that contain high amounts of alcohol and soaps, cleansers, and cosmetics that have strong skin drying effects.
