Actiza Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat the symptoms of the common cold. It also helps treat fever and aches associated with the common cold. The common cold is a respiratory illness that affects the nose and throat. It is mostly caused by a virus known as rhinovirus. Symptoms of a common cold include stuffy or runny nose, sore throat, cough, congestion, mild body pain or a mild headache, sneezing, low-grade fever, and feeling unwell.

Actiza Tablet contains Caffeine, Cetirizine, Nimesulide, Paracetamol and Phenylephrine. Cetirizine blocks the action of histamine, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions. Phenylephrine narrows the blood vessels; this helps in providing relief from congestion. Paracetamol and Nimesulide help relieve pain. Caffeine decreases the sleepiness caused by cetirizine. Together, Actiza Tablet helps in treating the symptoms of the common cold.

You are advised to take Actiza Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. Sometimes, Actiza Tablet may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, fatigue, and sleepiness. These side effects may not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to the doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Tell the doctor if you are allergic to any components in Actiza Tablet . Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Actiza Tablet may cause sleepiness, so drive only if you are alert. Avoid consumption of alcohol during treatment with Actiza Tablet .  Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medications to avoid unpleasant side effects/interactions.

Phenylephrine is a decongestant that works by narrowing the blood vessels; this helps in providing relief from congestion and stuffiness of the nose. Paracetamol is an analgesic (relieves pain) and antipyretic (reduces fever) that works by inhibiting the production of certain chemical messengers in the brain known as prostaglandins responsible for pain and fever. Nimesulide is an NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) that relieves pain by blocking certain chemical messengers. Caffeine is a stimulant that helps in decreasing the sleepiness caused by cetirizine. Together, Actiza Tablet helps in treating the symptoms of the common cold.

Do not take Actiza Tablet if you are allergic to its components. Inform the doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, coagulation disorder, high blood pressure, thyroid problems, asthma, narrow-angle glaucoma, urinary bladder neck obstruction, gastrointestinal obstruction, diabetes, oedema, or heart problems. Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Actiza Tablet may cause sleepiness, so drive only if you are alert. Avoid consumption of alcohol during treatment with Actiza Tablet . Let the doctor know if you take other medicines, including supplements or herbal products.
