Nausea is an uneasy feeling in which a person feels an urge to vomit, while vomiting is the body's natural response to discharge the stomach content forcefully.

Activ9-NVP Tablet contains Methylcobalamin, L Methylfolate Calcium, Pyridoxal 5 Phosphate (vitamin B6) and Doxylamine Succinate. Methylcobalamin and L Methylfolate Calcium can provide essential nutrients during pregnancy. Doxylamine succinate belongs to the class of antihistamines that work by blocking the natural chemical (histamine) in the body, thereby preventing nausea and vomiting. Pyridoxine/vitamin B6 deficiency may cause nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. Pyridoxal-5-phosphate works by increasing the level of vitamin B6 in the body. Take Activ9-NVP Tablet as prescribed. You are advised to take Activ9-NVP Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as drowsiness, constipation, dizziness, or blurred vision. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

If you are allergic to any foods or medicines, please tell your doctor. The Activ9-NVP Tablet is usually not taken by breastfeeding mothers as it passes into breast milk. Activ9-NVP Tablet should not be given to children as safety and efficacy have not been established. Activ9-NVP Tablet may cause dizziness; therefore, drive with caution. What if I have taken an overdose of Activ9-NVP Tablet

If you accidentally take more medicine than your doctor told you to, or if a child has taken some medicine by mistake, contact your doctor or go to your nearest emergency department immediately. An overdose could cause adverse events. Signs and symptoms of overdose may include restlessness, dryness of mouth, dilated pupils, sleepiness, vertigo, mental confusion and tachycardia. At toxic doses, doxylamine exhibits anticholinergic effects, including seizures, rhabdomyolysis, acute renal failure and death. Consult the doctor even if there are no signs of discomfort.

Drug Warnings

Do not take Activ9-NVP Tablet if you are allergic to any of its contents. Tell your doctor if you have asthma, increased eye pressure, narrow-angle glaucoma, stomach ulcer, a blockage in your gut (digestive tract), or liver or kidney problems. Inform your doctor if you are taking medicines for depression, cough or cold medicines, sleeping medicines, or certain pain medicines. Activ9-NVP Tablet should not be taken by breastfeeding mothers as it passes into breast milk. Activ9-NVP Tablet should not be given to children as safety and efficacy have not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Activ9-NVP Tablet as it could lead to increased dizziness.

Diet & Lifestyle Advise

  • Limit taking foods and drinks that contain chocolate, alcohol, caffeine, fructose, or sorbitol, carbonated drinks, fried, and fatty foods. 
  • Do not have large meals at a time; instead, try having small and simpler meals at regular intervals, including fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet.
  • Practice yoga and recreation techniques to manage your emotional stress.
  • If you are lactose intolerant, avoid using dairy products since it can worsen your stomach discomfort.
  • If you cannot take dairy products, it is advised to include other calcium-rich foods like leafy greens, beans, nuts, and seeds.
  • Drink plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration.
  • Manage stress, eat healthily, drink plenty of water, exercise regularly, and get plenty of sleep.
