Relidomide 25 Capsule is used to treat a type of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) known as deletion 5q MDS, where part of chromosome 5 is missing.

During sexual activity with females of reproductive potential, always use effective contraception such as latex or synthetic condom while taking Relidomide 25 Capsule and for at least 4weeks after discontinuing Relidomide 25 Capsule, even if you have undergone a successful vasectomy. Male patients taking Relidomide 25 Capsule must not donate semen whilst taking Relidomide 25 Capsule and for 4weeks after discontinuing Relidomide 25 Capsule.

Patients taking Relidomide 25 Capsule must not donate blood during the treatment with Relidomide 25 Capsule and for 1month after discontinuation of Relidomide 25 Capsule as the donated blood might be given to pregnant women whose foetus should not be exposed to Relidomide 25 Capsule since it causes severe birth defects.

People with multiple myeloma taking Relidomide 25 Capsule may have an increased risk for blood clots in veins, arteries, and lungs. The risk is even higher if you are taking dexamethasone with Relidomide 25 Capsule for treating multiple myeloma. Consult your doctor immediately if you notice symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest pain, and swelling in the legs or arm.

Relidomide 25 Capsule might cause neutropenia (low white blood cells) or thrombocytopenia (low platelets). Blood count should be checked regularly during treatment with Relidomide 25 Capsule.

You should take Relidomide 25 Capsule at the same time every day. You can take the capsules with or without food.
