Prulin Tablet belongs to the group of medicines called fluoroquinolone antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections, including infections of the urinary tract, tonsils, sinus, nose, throat, sexually transmitted infections, soft tissue infection and lungs (pneumonia). Prulin Tablet contains Prulifloxacin, the prodrug of ulifloxacin, is a broad-spectrum activity with bactericidal action (kills bacteria) that works by preventing synthesis of enzymes, namely DNA gyrase and Topoisomerase IV, which is essential for growth and survival of the bacterial cell. Prulin Tablet has a broad spectrum of antibacterial activity against aerobic gram-positive and aerobic gram-negative bacteria (that live in oxygen). Prulin Tablet does not treat infections caused by virus-like flu or a common cold.
