Proxcef-CV Oral Suspension is a combination of two antibiotics: Cefpodoxime proxetil (cephalosporin antibiotic) and Clavulanic acid (beta-lactamase inhibitor). Cefpodoxime proxetil works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering, which is necessary for their survival. Thus, it kills the bacteria.
