Opticrom Forte Eye Drop Substitute

Opticrom Forte Eye Drop is used to treat eye redness, itchy and watery eyes caused by allergies such as hay fever, per hair and house dust mites.

Opticrom Forte Eye Drop contains Sodium cromoglycate that works by stabilising mast cells (immune cells) and prevents the release of histamine, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions. Thus, it prevents allergic response and reduces allergic symptoms.

Opticrom Forte Eye Drop may cause temporary blurred vision immediately after using it. Therefore, you should wait until your vision is clear before driving or operating heavy machinery.

Maintain a time gap of 5 to 15 minutes between using Opticrom Forte Eye Drop and other eye drops. However, please consult a doctor before using other medicines with Opticrom Forte Eye Drop.

You are not recommended to wear contact lenses while using Opticrom Forte Eye Drop as it contains benzalkonium chloride, a preservative that changes the colour of contact lenses as soft contact lenses may absorb it. Therefore, you are advised to remove contact lenses before using Opticrom Forte Eye Drop and reinsert them after 15 minutes of using Opticrom Forte Eye Drop. Also, inform your doctor if you experience pain, stinging or abnormal eye sensations after using Opticrom Forte Eye Drop.
