The detailed uses of Lecrat Tablet are as follows:</p><ul><li><strong>Breast Cancer Treatment: </strong>Lecrat Tablet is primarily prescribed for postmenopausal women with hormone-receptor-positive breast cancer. It works by lowering estrogen levels, which helps slow or halt the growth of certain breast tumours.</li><li><strong>Adjuvant Therapy: </strong>After surgery for early-stage breast cancer, Lecrat Tablet may be used as adjuvant therapy to reduce the risk of recurrence and improve survival rates.</li><li><strong>Neoadjuvant Therapy: </strong>Lecrat Tablet can serve as a neoadjuvant treatment to shrink breast tumours before surgery, facilitating their removal.</li><li><strong>Ovarian Function Suppression: </strong>Lecrat Tablet is occasionally used off-label during fertility treatments to suppress ovarian function, particularly in cases of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).</li></ul>

Lecrat Tablet belongs to the group of anti-cancer medicines used to treat breast cancer in women.
Lecrat Tablet works by blocking the aromatase enzyme, which is involved in the production of estrogens. The cancer cells require estrogen for their growth, so by blocking the enzyme Lecrat Tablet prevents the growth of cancer cells. Thereby, Lecrat Tablet helps in slowing down or stopping the growth and/or spreading the tumours to other body parts.
Lecrat Tablet causes dizziness and drowsiness. So, drive only if you are alert and omit driving or operating machinery if you feel dizzy or drowsy.
High blood pressure could be a side-effect of Lecrat Tablet. Regularly monitor blood pressure levels while taking Lecrat Tablet. Consult your doctor if you regularly notice high blood pressure levels.
Do not stop taking Lecrat Tablet on your own. You are advised to take Lecrat Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition. Do not be reluctant to speak with your doctor if you experience any difficulty while taking Lecrat Tablet.
Lecrat Tablet may cause osteoporosis (bone thinning) due to the reduction of estrogen in the body. Regular bone density tests may help you monitor osteoporosis. Contact your doctor if you observe any sign of tendon pain or swelling while taking Lecrat Tablet.
Lecrat Tablet may cause weight gain due to an increase in appetite. Eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly to maintain proper weight.
Lecrat Tablet should be swallowed as a whole with water; do not crush or chew it.
Lecrat Tablet can be taken with or without food.
Lecrat Tablet should be taken for as long as it has been prescribed by the doctor. The doctor will determine the duration of the treatment based on your condition.
Lecrat Tablet is prescribed to treat breast cancer in women who have gone through menopause.
Lecrat Tablet may cause high blood pressure. Therefore, irbesartan should be taken with Lecrat Tablet only if prescribed by the doctor. Regularly monitor blood pressure levels while taking Lecrat Tablet.
Lecrat Tablet may cause eye problems like blurred vision and cataracts. Consult the doctor if you experience blurred vision or eye irritation.
Lecrat Tablet may cause hot flushes leading to sweating. These symptoms usually improve during the first few months. However, if the symptoms persist or worsen, consult the doctor.
Serious side effects of Lecrat Tablet are difficulty breathing, chest pain, fainting, rapid heart rate, formation of blood clots (bluish skin discolouration, or sudden arm, leg or foot pain) and rupture of a tendon. These side effects are rare and may not occur in everyone taking Lecrat Tablet.
Letrozole may induce ovulation in anovulatory infertility patients and augment follicles for ovulatory women. However, it is an off-label use. Talk to the doctor if you have any concerns.
Lecrat Tablet is not recommended for use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
The time required for Lecrat Tablet to show its effects depends upon your condition and severity. Consult the doctor if you have any concerns.
If you miss a dose of Lecrat Tablet take it as soon as you remember, However, if it is almost time for the scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose at the scheduled time.
Lecrat Tablet may interact with antidepressants (citalopram, escitalopram) and anticancer medicines (tamoxifen). Let the doctor know if you are taking these medicines.
Store Lecrat Tablet at room temperature, in a dry place. Keep out of sight and reach of children.
