Medicinal Benefits:
Calotrate Tablet is used to treat low blood calcium levels. It effectively treats various conditions caused by low calcium levels in the body, like Vitamin D deficiency, osteoporosis, hypoparathyroidism, latent tetany, and rickets or osteomalacia. Calotrate Tablet consists of two components: calcium orotate (a mineral) and Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol). Calcium orotate is a mineral used to prevent or treat a calcium deficiency. It provides essential nutrients to maintain bone formation. Vitamin D3 helps maintain blood calcium and phosphorus levels and mineralisation of bone. It aids in calcium absorption, enabling bone growth and repair. It further prevents cartilage degeneration.
Calotrate Tablet is used for the treatment of Osteoporosis, Osteomalacia (Rickets), Vitamin D deficiency, Hypoparathyroidism, and Latent tetany.
Calotrate Tablet consists of Calcium orotate and Vitamin D3. Calcium orotate is a mineral that prevents or treats calcium deficiency. Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) helps maintain blood calcium and phosphorus levels and mineralisation of bone. When you don't get enough Vitamin D from food sources and sunlight exposure, Calotrate Tablet helps replenish those low levels.
Milk is considered to be the best source of calcium. You can take Calotrate Tablet with milk.
Calotrate Tablet is used to increase low levels of calcium in the body. Hence, it is not advised to use Calotrate Tablet if you have hypercalcaemia since it causes an overdose of calcium, leading to kidney stones and other effects.

The food sources of Vitamin D include fatty fish like salmon, mackerel, and tuna. Cod liver oil has a lot of vitamin D and also egg yolks, beef liver, and fortified foods like milk, orange juice, and cereals. Sun-exposed mushrooms are another source of vitamin D.
Vitamin D is essential for maintaining healthy bones, as it helps the body absorb calcium, thereby preventing weakness and fractures. It raises vitamin D levels in your blood. It prevents cartilage degeneration. It helps maintain blood calcium levels, phosphorus levels, and bone mineralisation. You can get vitamin D from sunlight, foods like fatty fish, or supplements if necessary.
Calotrate Tablet may cause side effects such as constipation and stomach upset. These do not require any medical treatment as they will gradually reduce over time. Please consult a doctor if these side effects persist for longer than expected.
