<p>Ageflux Junior Orally Disintegrating Tablet is used in the treatment of Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, erosive esophagitis, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. The detailed uses of Ageflux Junior Orally Disintegrating Tablet are as follows:</p><ul><li><strong>Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD):</strong> Ageflux Junior Orally Disintegrating Tablet helps reduce acid reflux symptoms such as heartburn, regurgitation, and chest discomfort by lowering stomach acid production. It promotes healing of the oesophagus in children with chronic acid exposure.</li><li><strong>Peptic Ulcer Disease:</strong> Ageflux Junior Orally Disintegrating Tablet is used to treat ulcers in the stomach or upper part of the small intestine (duodenum). It supports ulcer healing by reducing acid levels and protecting the stomach lining.</li><li><strong>Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome:</strong> Ageflux Junior Orally Disintegrating Tablet may be prescribed in rare cases where the stomach produces excessive acid due to tumours. It helps control acid output and prevents complications like ulcers and bleeding.</li><li><strong>NSAID-Induced Gastric Ulcers:</strong> Ageflux Junior Orally Disintegrating Tablet is used to prevent or treat ulcers caused by long-term use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), especially in children who require pain management for chronic conditions.</li><li><strong>Stress Ulcers and Acid-Related Indigestion:</strong> Ageflux Junior Orally Disintegrating Tablet can be used in hospitalised or critically ill children to prevent stress-related mucosal damage and reduce symptoms like bloating, nausea, and upper abdominal pain.</li></ul>
Medicinal Benefits:
Ageflux Junior Orally Disintegrating Tablet is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease, erosive esophagitis, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It is also used to prevent and treat ulcers of the oesophagus.
Ageflux Junior Orally Disintegrating Tablet works by blocking the action of an enzyme known as the gastric proton pump responsible for the production of acid. This helps in reducing the symptoms of heartburn, reflux and promotes the healing of ulcers.
Ageflux Junior Orally Disintegrating Tablet may cause swelling and itchiness of the fingers and toes. Try applying an anti-itch cream or a moisturising cream. If the condition persists after two weeks, consult your doctor.
You are advised to maintain a gap of two hours between Ageflux Junior Orally Disintegrating Tablet and indigestion medicines. However, please consult a doctor before giving indigestion/antacid medicines along with Ageflux Junior Orally Disintegrating Tablet to the child.
Ageflux Junior Orally Disintegrating Tablet may cause side effects such as headache, constipation, stomach upset, and stomach pain. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, seek medical advice if the side effects bother your child.
