I have been having itching and redness on the upper part of my penis for the last 6 months. I used Ofloxin OZ, Ketocip, Tenovate M, Candid V, and Flukazol, but the problem comes back after intercourse. My wife is also having similar symptoms. What treatment may help both of us recover completely?

Redness and itching on the penis that keep returning after intercourse, especially when both partners have similar symptoms, often suggest a recurrent fungal or yeast-related infection. Moisture, friction during intercourse, diabetes, incomplete treatment, poor genital dryness, or repeated use of mixed steroid creams can make the infection return again and again. Temporary improvement followed by recurrence is common when the underlying irritation is not fully controlled. Better recovery usually happens when both partners are treated together, and hygiene measures are followed consistently. Keeping the genital area dry, avoiding tight undergarments, changing sweaty clothes quickly, and avoiding intercourse until symptoms settle may help reduce repeated irritation. Antifungal treatment may need to continue for the full advised duration even if symptoms improve early. Mixed creams containing strong steroids may reduce redness temporarily, but can sometimes make fungal infections more stubborn over time. Blood sugar testing may also help because uncontrolled sugar levels can increase repeated fungal infections. Burning urination, foul smell, ulcers, swelling, discharge, or persistent recurrence despite treatment may need more targeted skin or sexual health evaluation to identify the exact cause clearly.
