Jaw joint strain (TMJ problem), tooth sensitivity, dental infection, teeth grinding, or inflammation of the muscles could be the cause of pain near the right ear joint and inner teeth that occurs primarily while movement or biting. If the teeth or nerves are sensitive, cold meals may occasionally cause or exacerbate the pain. Use warm compresses on the jaw area, chew slowly, and try avoiding really cold or hard foods for a few days. It is preferable to contact a dentist or ENT physician for a thorough examination if the discomfort persists, swelling appears, or you have trouble opening your mouth.
