I've had shoulder pain for more than a year, and now it's spreading to my hands and legs as well. I'm consulting a local nurolagist. He gave me gabaride NT, but I don't feel well with it and the pain doesn't go away. Could you please advise me on the best course of action to address this health issue? Before seven months, I saw an orthopaedist, who took some x-rays of my neck and said that there was damage to my ligaments and a slight bend in my neck. I'm not sure what to do at this point.

Nerve issues from the neck, such as cervical spondylosis or nerve compression, may be the cause of shoulder pain that spreads to the hands (and even the legs). Tablets like Gabaride NT may not be suitable for everyone or provide complete relief. Instead of depending solely on medication, you should have a proper evaluation (ideally an MRI of the cervical spine if one hasn't been done), begin supervised physical therapy, and practice good posture (avoid prolonged use of a laptop or mobile device). See your neurologist or an orthopaedic spine specialist to modify your treatment if your pain is worsening and chronic. Sometimes switching to a different medication, nerve-specific therapy, or targeted therapy is necessary instead of sticking with the same medication.
