My mother has a headache, fever and body pain. What medicines can help her feel better?

Headache, fever, and body pain commonly occur due to viral infections, seasonal flu, throat infections, dehydration, or general body inflammation during illness. Symptoms such as weakness, chills, sore throat, cough, poor appetite, tiredness, or mild cold symptoms may also occur along with fever and body aches. Fever- and pain-relief medicines such as Paracetamol may help reduce headache, fever, and body discomfort temporarily when taken in the proper dose. Adequate rest, warm fluids, light nutritious meals, and proper hydration may support recovery and reduce weakness. Steam inhalation, saltwater gargles, and maintaining room ventilation may also help if cold or throat symptoms are present. Monitoring body temperature and fluid intake is important, especially in older adults, because dehydration and weakness may worsen during fever. Avoid self-starting antibiotics unless a bacterial infection is properly suspected after medical evaluation. Inform a doctor if fever remains very high, breathing becomes difficult, confusion appears, vomiting continues, chest pain occurs, or symptoms become worse instead of improving over the next few days.
