Ringworm recurring for years and spreading within the family is usually due to persistent fungal infection and reinfection from clothes, towels, or shared contact. Keep the skin clean and fully dry, wear loose cotton clothes, wash and sun-dry clothes and towels daily, and avoid sharing personal items to break the cycle. Do not use steroid creams, as they can worsen the infection, and complete the full treatment as advised. Since it is long-lasting and affects others, consult a doctor for proper antifungal treatment for all family members together.
