Vitamin D3 drops are commonly recommended if your baby is breastfed or not receiving enough formula, and they are usually continued until around 12 months of age. Carmicide drops (simethicone) should be used only occasionally for gas or colic and are not needed on a regular or long-term basis. Multivitamin drops are generally not required if feeding is adequate with breast milk or formula unless your paediatrician specifically advises them. It is best to review all supplements with your paediatrician during routine check-ups, especially as solids are introduced around 6 months of age.
