For a mild skin burn with peeled or scraped red areas, the main goal is to keep the skin clean, moist, and protected to promote healing and prevent infection. Gently wash the area with clean water, avoid harsh soaps, and apply a soothing ointment like Mupirocin if there are signs of infection, or a simple healing ointment like petroleum jelly to keep the area moist. You can also use soothing agents like aloe vera, and cover the area with a clean, non-stick dressing if needed. Avoid applying toothpaste, oils, or unknown creams, and do not pick at the skin. If the burn is large, very painful, shows pus, or does not heal within a few days, consult a doctor for proper care.
