Brainstar tablet contains Bromocriptine, a medicine that affects dopamine levels in the brain and helps regulate certain hormones in the body. It is commonly prescribed for Parkinson?s disease to help improve symptoms such as tremors, muscle stiffness, and slow movements by increasing dopamine activity in the brain. It is also used in acromegaly, a condition where the body produces too much growth hormone, leading to abnormal growth of bones and tissues. The medicine helps reduce this excess hormone level. Brainstar tablet is also given in conditions linked with high prolactin levels, known as hyperprolactinemia. This can cause irregular or absent periods, milk discharge from the breasts when not breastfeeding, and fertility problems in both men and women. By lowering prolactin levels, it helps restore normal hormonal balance and improves reproductive health. In some cases, it may also be used as an add-on treatment in type 2 diabetes to help improve blood sugar control along with diet and exercise.
