Ativan, Nexito Plus, Alprazolam, and Amixide H are commonly used for anxiety, stress, depression, panic symptoms, and sleep problems. Some of these medicines, especially lorazepam, alprazolam, clonazepam, and chlordiazepoxide, belong to a group that may cause dependence, tolerance, daytime sleepiness, poor concentration, memory issues, and withdrawal symptoms if used continuously for a long time without regular review. This does not mean they are unsafe for everyone, but long-term use should usually be monitored carefully by a doctor. Stopping these medicines suddenly on your own can sometimes worsen anxiety, sleep problems, restlessness, or cause withdrawal symptoms. The benefits and risks depend on your mental health condition, dose, duration, and how your body responds. Good sleep habits, counselling, stress management, exercise, and relaxation techniques may help some people gradually reduce their dependence on medicines. Regular follow-up with your psychiatrist is important for safe long-term treatment planning.
